Book Review: Machine Learning Engineer
This book is a great overview of the basic skills that you need to land a job in Machine Learning.
I think I knew about 70% of the materials covered in this book, either from course works in grad school and other online classes that I took. While the coverage lacks depth, it is quite comprehensive and gives you a good understanding of the general directions that you can take in order to improve ML model performances and work as an ML engineer.
I read this in one day, and I think most other readers would as well. I do not think this book is a very good introduction for someone who has no basics in ML, as this is more of a recap than an intro. Anyways, I enjoyed the compactness of this book, and for anyone who’s done ML before but would like to check in for their job interviews or future study directions, I could recommend this book.
